So, I’m doing a little throw back Thursday today, and I’m going to do a few more over the coming weeks. The last year has been so busy, that I have a shed load of gorgeous weddings to share with you that have never seen the light of day, and there are some goodies in the vaults people. So come back for some wedding inspo over the next few weeks.

We’re going to kick off with Kayleigh and Jonny’s wedding. It was the perfect, laid back, rustic inspired countryside day. The minute I met these guys I knew it would be a really fun day, and it didn’t disappoint. These guys are pretty special as aside from being a couple and living together, they also work together, managing an estate in the Hampshire countryside. I have some serious respect for that. I can’t imagine not only living together, but working with my husband, being together 24/7! You can tell these guys are basically best mates and the fun they have together is infectious. I think we spent the whole day laughing, and it shows in their portraits!

They were married in the church down the road from the estate, with their reception at The Long Barn which was close by. While we stopped back at home to drop off their dogs and take a few photos the guests were ferried to the venue by tractor! So much fun! Kayleigh is originally from Orkney in Scotland and her family make and produce Orkney Gin, so they served gin cocktails for the reception along with lawn games. The sun shone and everyone had a great time.

What was particularly lovely was how much thought and detail they’d put into the décor inside the barn, and it was all DIY mostly done by Jonny. They had sharing platters for dinner and so decided to hang their jam jar centrepieces from the ceiling! This meant there was still plenty of space for platters on the table but also gave the décor a real wow factor! I also loved their creative herb garden table plan.

The weather was kind so after dinner I snuck Kayleigh and Jonny off for a few minutes in the sunset in a near by field for some golden hour portraits. And golden it really was. The perfect end to a beautiful day.
