I absolutely loved this beautiful barn wedding with an enchanted forest theme. The bride and groom named each of their tables after a different mythological forest from their favourite fantasy films. For example they had one table named ‘The Fire Swamp’ from the legendary film The Princess Bride as well as ‘Lothlorien’ and ‘Mirkwood’ from The Lord of the Rings. They had their own enchanted driftwood tree from Little Lillies installed to serve as the table plan which was stunning, surrounded with ferns and florals. And then all of the table flower arrangements featuring peonies and eucalyptus as well as the bouquet were DIY by Kat’s mum. She did an amazing job.
My favourite part of the wedding though was the bridal style! Both Kat and Chris are so stylish and were dressed to perfection on the day. Chris looked awesome in a bespoke three piece grey suit from Victor Valentine teamed with a gorgeous duck egg bow tie. Kat got ready at the beautiful Riverside Cottage in Bransbury. I’d highly recommend this stunning self catering holiday let to my Clock Barn couples, as it’s got plenty of space for everyone- it sleeps ten and it’s in a beautiful location with a conservatory providing gorgeous light for make up! The super talented Yasemin Bilgic did Kat’s hair and make up, which looked stunning all day. I absolutely loved Kat’s plaited half up, half done style, which she embellished with a fabulous flower crown from Nadia Di Tullio. It’s actually made from faux flowers which meant it was more robust for pinning, and sitting under a veil, and she didn’t need to worry about it wilting in the heat and, bonus- she can wear it again and again! But to top it off she had the most show stopping dress which is probably one of my favourites of all time. Kat got her Hayley Paige Dolce tulle blush gown from Hannah Elizabeth Bridal. Kat said the boutique is stunning and that Hannah was so helpful as she never thought she’d choose a dress like the Dolce. I’m so glad she did, doesn’t it look stunning?! To top it off she wore some cute Charlotte Mills flats, which I loved too. The whole look was stunning and it just really made me want to do it all over again! I mean, how awesome does that dress look for dancing and twirling in!?
Kat and Chris, like all my couples, told me they were really nervous about having their photo taken, but they needn’t have worried. We had a real laugh together exploring the grounds around the barn, and they both look so relaxed in the images. Kat said: “OH MY GOD LYDIA, these photos are truly amazing! We loved the presentation box too, such gorgeous packaging. Looking through them last night bought so many great memories back we are absolutely thrilled with them.”
