Christmas feels like a life time ago now doesn’t it, especially with Valentine’s day approaching. Well, especially if like me you’ve had an even longer than usual January awaiting the arrival of a new baby! Eeeek. As I’m typing this there are days to go, he could arrive at any time! Anyway, it feels like sufficient time has passed since Christmas to share this beautifully festive wedding, and to be honest I’ve been dying to share it since the day itself. I spent the entire day ‘oooohing’ and ‘aaahing’ at every exquisite detail, from the beautiful glass ornament place settings, to the rich velvety florals beautifully put together by the uber talented Elisabeth at Amamini Flowers, and from the very moment I saw the glittering blush dress (Bailey by Ronald Joyce from Krystie boutique in Bath) and gasped aloud, I knew it was going to be a good day. Apart from the beautiful details, Bath the city played a big starring role and I was so happy to be back in one of my favourite places shooting. The city is beautiful at every turn, and the Royal Crescent provided the most romantic backdrop for the couples shoot. The Assembly Rooms (which host Bath Fashion Museum) themselves are also steeped in history and Palladian beauty, dripping with chandeliers from the high ceilings and creating the most perfect atmosphere and setting. The whole day was just an absolute treat to shoot, and as my last wedding before starting maternity leave it definitely sent me off on a high. As a bonus I got to shoot alongside my wonderful friend Rebecca too, so a big thank you to her for being such a fab assistant to a heavily pregnant photographer! And massive thank yous to the lovely Will & Katy for asking me to shoot their day, I loved every moment.
