Well, it’s been a while dear reader. Can you believe it’s now June? JUNE!? How did this happen? I don’t know about you but the time just seems to fly by at the moment. Since my last post things at this end have gone a bit nuts, which is really always the case at this time of year for us wedding photographers. But I’ve missed you, so I thought it was high time for a bit of an update. I’m still here, I’ve not disappeared I’ve just been beavering away behind the scenes!

I’ve now moved into my beautiful studio at 75 New Street, and if you follow me on instagram you’ll have seen more of that. Clearing out my home office and making the move was a bit emotional, reflecting on how far I’ve come from doing this in my spare time, to quitting my day job and going full time, to having a studio and taking on an assistant (more on that later!). It’s been quite the roller coaster! I’m loving having a dedicated space to meet my couples and when I go home at the end of the day, home it is, and I’m no longer drawn back to the computer for long nights of editing! This took a bit of getting used to at first but now I am loving my restored work/life balance. I’ve also started shooting newborn sessions, and have had four beautiful babies in so far. And as well as that I’ve squeezed in a few engagement shoots, a family shoot and shot the new campaign for Jas Hair to boot!

I also went away to Snap Photography Festival in Wales, and had an amazing time meeting new photography friends, learning from some of the very best wedding photographers in the world and getting re-invigorated for the year ahead. It was a truly amazing experience and I’ll be sharing more on that soon. As soon as I was all moved and back from Wales wedding season arrived and I’ve already shot 10 weddings this year, so I’m about a third of my way through the 2015 season. It’s been an amazing so far; there have been ceremonies in ancient temples, singing waitors, a mini darth vader, sunset walks through fields and I’ve loved every minute. As I’ve not really had time to blog I thought I’d just give you a little taster of what’s been keeping me busy so far this summer. Enjoy!
