I don’t really know where to begin. Yesterday was just wonderful. There are some weddings where it doesn’t feel like work, when everything just comes together effortlessly and there’s a sort of magical atmosphere, and yesterday was just one of those. Truly a perfect day. It was so fab to be back at Penton Park for Catherine & Mike’s wedding. Penton Park is a stunning country house venue in Hampshire close to my home, full of charm and character and it made the perfect backdrop for the day, along with the sunshine of course! Catherine looked absolutely stunning in her beautifully beaded Maggie Sottero dress, which came via eBay!!!!  Finishing touches were added by the uber talented Yasemin Bilgic hair and make up artist with smokey bronze eyes and the perfect textured, undone up do. Catherine and Mike grew succulents from seed and filled Penton with them and other botanical touches like the huge hurricane jars, a bargain purchase from Home Sense. Flowers were by Mike’s talented aunt, who’d pulled together beautiful colours and textures for perfect wild undone florals. Guests were treated to a superb spread by Small Piece catering, who I can not recommend highly enough. And as the sun went down about one hundred tea lights were all lit up giving the house the perfect twinkling hygge vibe. All in all just wonderful.
